We have a long standing tradition here in the Robinson Household for Easter. Since we live in the most amazing city of Maple Valley, which is a very short drive to Seattle, we have a plethora of seafood available to us year round. I don't now how it started, or why, but for some reason, we use Easter as an excuse to gorge ourselves on a bounty of seafood and call it "Brunch".
If you're in the Puget Sound region, you may have heard of Salty's at Alki in West Seattle. You may have even heard of their brunch - Buckets of King and Snow Crab, smoked salmon, fresh oyster shooters, made to order omelettes, traditional breakfast foods, fruits, salads, prime rib, lamb, ham, pastas, desserts up the ying yang complete with a chocolate fountain.....and..... a bloody mary bar. Ya, it's phenomenal.
Every single year, we go to Salty's, wear our stretchy pants and eat all the crab. All. The. Crab! We literally look forward to it all year. hahaha It's just not Easter if there's not crab and naps. It's the little things.
Do you have any Easter Traditions? If you'll be at Salty's, I'll be the one in the corner with a mountain of crab shells. :)
